Urghhh I don't know why this is annoying me so much, I guess I'm just so hyped for PSVR2 and seeing all these bad faith/misinformed opinions is getting to me as if that's what the wider audience is also thinking then it could really hurt not just PSVR2's future but all of VR's which would be a shame as the tech is absolutely amazing and I firmly believe this is the actual "next gen" of gaming.Ī lot of the arguments in the that thread were very, very, very dumb. Too expensive - Yeah it's pricey but to be honest for what you are getting tech wise I think it's pretty decent value.No AAA games - GT7 and Village are there on launch day, Horizon is arguably looking like a AAA game too with hopefully more "flat" games getting the VR treatment like GT7 and Village.
No Alyx no buy - If the 51 other launch day games aren't enough to get started with then I don't know what to say.Not wireless - I don't think wireless tech is there yet to deliver an uninterrupted super low latency 120fps signal at PSVR resolution and if it is then it probably isn't cheap otherwise I'm sure Sony would have added it, plus extra costs like a battery and stuff would be needed for the headset.Doesn't work with PC - Sony has no storefront to make money on 3rd party game sales on PC like they can on PSN to recoup costs.We would have Quest+ and that would suck plus be even more expensive than it already is. Should have been standalone - If it was standalone then we wouldn't get PS5 quality games like GT7, RE8, etc.Having to bite my tongue going into the Bloomberg thread with so many people spouting the doomed to fail or would have bought but: If they can show us some Astro Bot, Spiderman or something like that then maybe that might stop some of the negativity. Anyone feel like after the Bloomberg article Sony might need to step up their marketing efforts and get a SOP together prior to PSVR launch and show us some in house future titles they are working on.
